D.C. Fencers' Club presents the
Amazon Open

The fith annual Amazon Open will be on June 8, 2008 at the D.C. Fencers' Club in Silver Spring, MD. This year we have added an Open Women's Sabre event. At last year's tournament, fencers from all over the East Coast came to compete in an exciting Group A2 competition. Once again, there will be prizes for the top four places, provided by Absolute Fencing, medals down to 8th place, and a medal for the U fencer with the best result.
Preregistration
Preregistration is available through askFred.net, the online tournament data base. Please help the tournament organizers by pregistering if you intend to come. Tournament fees cannot be paid online; they will be collected on the morning of the event.

From I-95/I-495 (the D.C. Beltway):
Exit 31 South (stay left on ramp, left on Georgia Avenue). After you see the sign for Seminary Lane, turn right at the second light, under the large sign that reads "Columbia Road", onto Seminary Road (a small street sign on your right). Go straight and bear right at the Church of God, where Seminary forks to become Linden Lane. Continue on Linden Lane until Fraser Avenue, which is the first left past the stop sign.
